I think finding property is pretty easy compared to managing.

The problem you may run into is the lower appreciation rates compared to the South.Considering Commercial Real Estate:Have you looked at mixed-use properties?

HUD and Agency financing is another beast compared to conventional or non-bank lending (Secondary Market).

There are multiple fix &  flips All around both areas from pre-foreclosures to prior swatted homes.  

Just don't make the mistake of comparing what someone else profits on a role, to decide whether your compensation is sufficient or not. 

You could also get a couple different agents in the area to get you good comps on what to sell it for and compare on what they say the out price can be. 

For people that want to close and make it pretty/official/permitted/etc once they are owners, the question is "what is the cheapest way we can get this to pass an appraisal without the appraiser calling for a licensed/bonded/professional/whatever to fix things prior to closing?"

And LA County already has laws dealing with any lot created prior I think to 1924 or 34..

Hi Divya, Lying on an application is frustrating and if it was caught prior to them moving into the home i would not accept the tenant.
