Lots of retirees, vacationers, beach culture, tourism dollars and of course friendly Carolinians.

John's, and my partner and I are considering some ideas there, especially with regard to the hefty tourism sector in the 'summer' season!   

 And in my humble opinion, no signs of slowing down for a while unless there was a major turn down on tourism.

For foreign investors, I tell them to set a price range and start looking into cities that:-Experiencing steady growth-Have well diversified economic basis' (tourism, energy, tech, etc.)That's pretty much it.

The market has seen record growth for the last two years running (and already has a very established tourism industry, with around 70 million visitors last year).

The whole west side (Isabela, Aguadilla, Rincon) of the Island is being discovered by tourism.

As far as tourism, you've got DPAC and the Durham Bulls and nearby Duke.  9th Street has been booming too.I think if you are able to find a place that is convenient to downtown you'd have a slam dunk.  

I'd be more than happy to expand on this if you'd like.The primary growth factors for Galveston are tourism and UTMB.

Are there cyclical industries that can rise and fall (oil, tourism, transportation, etc.)What resources does the area have that are always in demand?  

(year round average for 2017 was 86%, and our little one bedroom condo grossed more than 41k) Tourism is the main business in town so there are plenty of property management options.
