At settlement, you will need the registration and a statement from the Secretary of State that the entity was properly registered, a Certificate of Good Standing, that the proper fees have been paid and is free of any encumbrances, liens, claims, pending actions and I doubt you can get that "at settlement".

As far as I know, you can register any name that isn't already on file with the Secretary of State or isn't too close to another entity's name that's already registered.Kudos on the interest and initiative, but don't forget to take action!

I talked to the neighbor to see if they had anything set up like that, with a president, VP, tres and secretary, rules, INSURANCE-etc, and he just had a blank look on his face!
