There have been lots of stop and starts with businesses opening for a few months to a year only to close due to rents being too high and not enough people to patronize the shops. 

Their concept is excellent and they have some successful venture capital backers.

Wherever you are in your investing journey, stop taking everything personally that doesn't fit what you want to hear.

I'd venture to guess that the median price for an STR-able property is probably $2M.

I believe this market cycle is topping, and one should tread very carefully before investing more money into an 'unsure' property.That does NOT mean to stop investing; just make sure you aren't trying to catch a falling knife in an unsure environment. 

I'm opening my second home and find them extremely rewarding but think I may stop at these two because I am extremely involved in them and am spreading myself too thin I think. 

You need to be clear where each partnership starts and stops and make sure each person knows they are responsible for.I hope this helps.
