Is this a fraudulent attempt to get unwitting investors to pay for something that they have not ordered?

You could put a line in your lease about “the landlord understands the inconvenience of broken appliances and will attempt to repair them as quickly as is reasonably.”

As for this thread, I do have a bunch of furnishings on hand from a STR I attempted a couple years ago, so I may go ahead and try one unit furnished and see how it goes.
