So if your payments total $20k to them for the year that would be their gain for the year and it keeps them at a much lower tax bracket instead of having a massive gain all at once.

I highly doubt he is building homes in Texas from his self imposed exile to Portugal to excape massive litigation that was/is coming his way.He is a marketing guy and receives a commission for referring you to the builder developer who actually owns the properties.. at least that was his SOP in the past.

I've heard a few opinions on this, and I've seen varying evidence in my market research.As an example, just this evening I'm pulling sold comps for a house and one of the highest sold price per sq ft comps is located literally right next to a railroad track, and has a massive commercial building right in front of it.

Lost days of work, had to cancel concrete trucks, etc...But I get the concept and agree in principle....but only for really important and potentially dangerous stuff...you wouldn't believe what I've seen out there.....
