@Sean Harris It's hard to say but I don't think cities will place stricter rules because that could hurt the tourism industry.

And also plenty of events throughout the year to bring in tourism traffic when local traffic isn't enough.Hunting for SFR personally as well as for clients in the Prescott/Cottonwood/Sedona areas and it has been challenging this year so far, but has been getting better recently.

I know nothing about this thing you call "tourism".

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is very high tourism and tends to attracts people that want to go to shows, visit "tourist" shops, etc.

I'm in a small town with no tourism. 

I'm not sure about the influencers but what is great about Mexico is that, yes, there's a 3rd and even 4th market on top of tourism and remote working: the snowbirds and the retirees and Puerto Vallarta and other places in Mexico are great for that.
