My many years of experience dealing with VA inspections is that shrubs and trees are touching the house.

Remember though, they may take a few years to be ready and will appreciate the education you can provide, which is why you stay in touch until they are ready and able.  

You can't require them to keep the cat in a carrier and never touch the carpet because that is impossible to do or manage. 

oh to touch on repairs.  

In my opinion, the most important thing is to get in touch with several agents, contractors, (property managers if necessary), etc.

No need to get the Govt involved in the housing market IMO.... a) they do not have the necessary competence, and b) they F up everything they touch, and c) they get a little power and they will never give it back..... 

I would like to avoid touching the current equity.
