This was an old Portland style home so I used finishes that were reminiscent of that time What was the outcome?

Maybe they could help you out by being able to pay them over time.

Or would you recommend paying off my home first and then saving for the rental after my primary home is paid off?

Anyway, I spend a lot of time in the STR forum and I didn't take either of you to be pissing on the post, especially since Jay, John and Michael are all major contributors to this forum and are pretty level headed overall.  

Property Management Company we work with right now to manage is fine with regular rental but I am having hard time working with them on student rental where some of the regular renting rules don't generally apply. 

Finding private money lenders out side of that takes time as you need to build your relationship with them so that they know, like and trust you AND they know you have experience in real estate.

The first offer fell through due to some outlandish requests from the Buyer.

I just bought my first property here in Southern California (Riverside).

I'm excited to be under contract for my first short-term rental in Pompano Beach, Florida.
