When you start getting into Mission Hills, Hillcrest, North Park and such, the density of STRs just isn't as high, and the people buying there not behaving so speculatively on an STR business plan.Note also that running an STR business means exposure to tourism spending patterns - when less people travel, your business is impacted.

I don't think it's common for the bank to straight out give you permission to assume the loan, or to make payments on behave of the borrow, but since this is a friend of yours, you could potentially leave the loan in their name, and simply start making their payments for them and have them transfer the title to your name.

The property is facing foreclosure, and the grandson is open to working with us to do a shortsale, but can't because he isn't responsible for the note.Thus, if we can buy the note, we can foreclosure on it and have the owners walk away with cash.Also I have brokers that work within my company and they could call on my client's behave if it made things easier.So you're suggesting to start with looking up the lien up and then checking out land tax records to see who the creditor is?
