@John Latkovich

Hi John, I was wondering if you found a PM that you liked? We live out of state, but are looking for a PM to cover a SFH in Northern Liberties. Thanks!

Post: House Extension into an ADU

I recently purchased a SFH with a fully permitted extension (not an attached ADU). The extension has its own front door, garage, kitchen, bedrooms and bath however it does not have its own address. The two halves do not have any shared space. Can anybody provide some insight on how to legally convert this into an ADU or Duplex with it's own address or recommend an ADU professional to walk through the process?

Front Half: 2 bed / 1 bath / 1 car garage / ~1000sqft

Back Half: 3 bed / 2 bath / 2 car garage / ~1500sqft

@Pavan Sandhu

Our goal is really to make both halves livable for separate tenants to live in simultaneously. A 2nd mailing address would certainly be part of that. Can I legally put up a 2nd mail box and create an "A" and "B" unit or does that have to be registered through the city?

@Dan Heuschele It actually is for multi (with lots of room for a third unit in the back). Any advice on that process?

Recently purchased a 5 bed / 3 bath property in San Diego, CA that is technically a single family home (combined water and solar). It is laid out in a very obvious front/back unit (each has own garages, no overlapping space, own front doors). Anybody have any advice for how to legally split this property into an 'A' and 'B' unit or a 123 and 123 1/2 address?

I've visited Big Bear Lake a few times and I am interested if anyone can provide some insight on the potential there for Short Term Rentals and potentially answer a few questions about some of their own properties. We have several long term rentals but have never ventured into STR/Vacation properties.
