Does anybody know about how much the conference costs if you're not a member? Running numbers...thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to educate us with your experience, Kyle. Your answers to the follow-on questions are super-helpful as I strategize my first house hack in the KC Metro. Is it possible to get your eval list for estimating rehab costs? Continued success to you!

There's also Bridge Real Estate Investing Meetup, next one's April 16 in Lenexa:

Thanks for sharing your results. It's inspirational and motivational. I battle a self-limiting mindset but am determined to buy my first property (duplex, FHA loan, live in half, rent half, refi after a year, etc.) by the end of 2019.

Hey this is really inspiring - thanks for the details and the warning about old buildings-I will definitely heed that.

@Walter Anderson, more great info, thank you! So helpful to know what not to do up front with the financing before trying something and being told 'no', especially getting into the very first investment. Continued success to you, my friend!

@Jeff Brower I deeply appreciate your clear, positive, well presented advice on house hacking. After three years practicing architecture, I've decided to pivot into the business side of things. What you did is my exact plan. I live in the Kansas City Metro and am excited about this market for cashflow investments. I'm researching where to get my real estate license now. Thanks a ton, Jeff!

Huge congrats to you on your deal! Buying in Nola is my dream. Can I ask how you were able to put just 5%'ish down for a multifamily? I'm a newbie to all this but thought that typically you have to put more like 20% down minimum unless you're going to live in it. Thanks!

Congrats! Good to know about these agents, and about Arvest Bank as a lender. How do you like them? May I ask what your cash flow is on this property? You said it was better than the first one, which I believe was $183'ish? You're on your way to financial freedom-good job!
