I was speaking with my brother - partner in rental business - and his attorney (Real Estate lawyer) who recommended putting each property into it's own trust or llc.... I am looking for additional experienced advise in this matter.  Separate trusts/llcs or a single holding company?  We are hoping to add another layer of liability protection... It was explained to us, that if an injury happened at one location, that the victim may be able to attach their litigation to our other properties.

Degrees can be accomplished and earned as you work.  With today's online opportunities and et al, it makes sense to continue studying at a pace that is comfortable and could be flexible with your work hours.  Real Estate is a great industry from which to launch a lucrative career "while" your furthering your education.  As a man who earned a BA in Fine Arts, an AA in Commercial Art/Computer Graphics and an MBA in Business Marketing, I can say that curiosity is a beneficial trait and each new adventure has slowed an otherwise bountiful career.  Real Estate is helping me to "catch up" a bit.  God bless young man and continued success.

My "why" started out as a way to augment upcoming Social Security returns.... since 2004, it has become a rewarding endeavor as I discovered that helping others to secure a nice place to live is highly gratifying.  

Residual income is a benefit and still on the list of motivations, however, helping others to get what they want has proven to be the primary purpose.
