Can anyone recommend a good Las Vegas handyman? I have a couple I work with, but need to have more for move out punch lists, remodels, and tenant calls. I’m looking for someone who can speak English well, is trustworthy, and competent. Anyone is the Vegas area have some good recommendations? Painters? Tile installers? Cabinet people?

@David Smit you ask if these rich people should step aside to make room for the next guy? No one is stopping the next guy. The great thing about where we live is that you don’t need someone’s permission to succeed. Wealth is gained by action, planning, and Work. There is no wealthy person who will step aside and let you walk the path they have already paved. The key to true wealth is overcoming the struggle of paving your own. Most people who are truly wealthy find joy in what they do, otherwise they would not be so successful at it.

@Corey Law I wouldn’t do this for several reasons. 1. The sale may fall through. We all hate to hear this, but things happen. Don’t risk getting stuck in the middle of a battle when and if it does. 2. Are there existing tenants? If so, they may not even know the house is up for sale. Nothing says great management quite like a stranger knocking on your door telling you they heard your home was put up for rent. NOT a good relationship starter. 3. You can’t actually show anyone the property. Until you own this property, going on tonit and showing it to perspective tenants can be considered trespassing. 4. You still need to kick the tires. Is thisnproperty really rent ready? Most purchases just aren’t. Touch up paint, cleaning, bulb replacement, and basic things generally need to be finished. Don’t risk scaring off a new tenant by showing them a property that isn’t actually ready for them.

@Ron Gallagher I live in Hollywood, so that will just cover the cardboard box I use to sleep on the street 🤣

We bought two more condos out here on the east side. One of them I’m a little unsure of the neighborhood, but my boyfriend was chasing the returns as he does. We have about 5 units out here that we are renovating currently and that’s really where our time out here has been eaten up. We end up coming up every couple months renovating 2-4 units and then going back to LA.

Always change the locks! Always! Even if you get the key back! I have about 50 properties and always put a kwikset smart key lock on the door. They are not electronic or digital, can’t be bumped, and very reasonable. When the tenant moves out you can rejey it yourself in 30 seconds with any new key you want. It’s a HUGE money and time saver! It’s also great if you are renovating and have contractors coming in and out. Once they are done you do a quick rekey and it’s ready for the Tenant. I have tried a lot of other things and this has by far been the best!

I’m interested in attending this event. I am an investor from California and travel between there and Nevada. I’m not sure exactly how long I will be in town though. Do you have events coming up a little sooner?
