@Jacob Lapp never invest in what you dont understand. The money you put into stocks should be funds you wont need for the next 3 to 5 years

@Tyler Caglia great post. Mi corizon. This New York bewildered newbie is inspired. I discovered bigger pockets recently too and abandoned the stock market just in time to now lose it all in the current route. I'm reading the book on long distance real estate investing currently. Slowly because I'm working 2 jobs to raise my capital as much as possible while I learn. If possible could you say the name of the realtor you used? I don't think he would mind possible extra business. Great Job and keep it up!

@Sean Toomey thanks for the link up tip. I only want to buy and hold sf then eventually step up to mf. Mf is my ultimate goal. I am reading the DAVID GREEN's book on long distance real estate investing. You guys are right. That may be the step to take. I see some cheaper houses upstate NY just from fooling around on Zillow etc. Would you guys recommend trying there?

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm leaning to partnering , that way I have some eyes with experience and I get to be part of a bigger deal

@Derek Harris I like local but I have to be open to long distance because I'm in New York. Local is insanely overvalued
