@Jim K.

😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣

Cash is better than a loan any day. Even if I could do $150-160k cash.

Seems like you've done this before? Hmm

@Kris L.

His garage is busted, driveways bad, windows seem like they need repair. It's literally blocked with big trees to the house. Inside wise, I looked online and it doesn't seem that bad.

@Wayne Brooks

Not really. I plan on living there. I just want to know if it is possible.

@Wayne Brooks

That's all I want to do, just their myself out there and I want to live there too... Maybe down the road I might do this rental dream but I just want to learn and put myself out there to see what's possible.

I know it all sounds bad lol.  He's alone, and rarely is at the house. I would be paying cash. I know it's low, but looking at the price he bought it for I could go a little higher. This sounds horrible but let's, say he dies, then the house goes to the bank or whatever. I just want to propose an offer for down the road if he considers.

Market values are bs prices anyways as I see it.

He could live in a retirement home? Horrible, yes. But you forget there are people that do this on a bigger scale... Like going to hospitals and offering to "help", etc.

Hey guys and girls. I want to buy my neighbors house. It would be my first house. The thing is, he's living alone in a single family home, 77. The estimate is around 250k, but I can't offer that. He bought the place for 130k years ago. I can offer cash of that possibly with help from family. How can I go about doing this if possible?

I'd rather not have the house go to the bank or anything. I read about writing an offer but don't know what to say. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to later on turn it into a rental but would be living there myself for a bit (if I got it).

First time on my own doing this. My relatives have some rentals but some family you just don't ask, you know haha.
