Hello Bigger Pockets,

I wanted to provide my experience with John Madison of Fund&Grow,

I worked with John Madison at Fund&Grow for the past couple months, he has helped me achieve $77,500 on my first batch. I am happy with the way they have helped me move forward in my financial life (specifically in RE investing). Hopefully, he will help me get over $100K over the next 3-6 months and I feel with his help it will be possible. Also, he is very responsive with my questions and follows through very well.

I have read many experiences via Bigger Pockets regarding Fund&Grow so I knew alot before getting involved.  It all seems to be valid and also enlisted my wife to be involved once her recent credit account has seasoned which will in the next month or so.

But, John and Funds&Grow in fact do as they advertise.  I think getting $100K or more is really helpful if you need funds within a years time.  Just make sure you pay it back though.  But John is a great guy to work and he has your back in getting the funds they advertise.

Thanks John and Funds&Grow for your help.

Hello Logan,

I did not find a replacement property management in Kansas City.  I looked at 3 of them, but for various reasons, it did not work out.  One was not responsive towards the end of our multiple conversations.  Another while 1st initial meeting with them, did not seem interested in managing in that area, (it is a class C neighborhood).  And, the last management company, I was told, has high maintenance costs.

So, still looking. And any additional thoughts would be good. I am tempted to use a handyman and manage my 3 SFH's from CA., if no other choices.

Thanks Logan

Thank you Liz for your comments, I will take this into serious consideration.

Lance and Vlad (are you russian), I will also be open to go outside of CA, but a bit skeptical.

Katie, I am looking for a tax accountant who does taxes but is quite knowledgeable with real estate investments. Also, if they are quite informed on asset protection, that would be very helpful as I was sued a few times recently. I have some LLC's already but would like to be more "protected", plus estate planning would be needed soon.

Thank you all for your replies, suggestions, and comments.

Does anyone know of a great tax accountant who specializes in real estate investments?  I live in California, so I would think it should be a CA tax accountant.  I have considered Anderson Advisors (Clint is owner) , but they are pricey.    I have also considered Dave Zook  of the "the real asset investor", but they have not responded back to me.

Thanks

Robert C.

Hello Stanci,

Thank you very much for the recommendation.  I just got off the phone with Tom.  I will meet with him and Steven  (of Plaid) next month when I fly out to Kansas.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Hello Dan,

I don't know what you mean by "PM".  Yes, a handyman would be very helpful.  I actually looked for handyman on Craigslist in the past 1 or two.  Maybe you can email me?

Hello Andrew,

I talked to Brent of Voepel last week.  Because I am really getting taken advantage of in regards to maint. costs, I asked Brent a number of questions on this issue.   He has in house maintenance people, but charge the owner $69/hr.  That seems extremely high given that my brother has a 4 plex in Boise and they charge him $35/hr. for maint work  Also, we have been looking for a prop in Phoenix, and so been interviewing prop management.    One company have quoted charging $20/hr for maint.

My 3 SFH's are located in the southeast area of Kansas City, MO. They are near the Cerner development area. I bought them through RWN.

Thanks Matt,

I will check out Plaid.  I )

I went to a Marshall Reddick presentation last night, where Scott P. talked about prop management (the main reason I went to his presentation).  I was hoping to learn something new, but not much.  And, they don't do prop management in KC.

I have 3 SFH's in Kansas City, MO but need a good property management as soon as possible. The one I have now is abusing me because I am out of state and they take all of my money via "prop maint". Thanks to anyone who can provide a recommendation.

Take care.
