I'm needing some help trying to locate the owners of properties. I have 3 or 4 houses that I've found that look like could be great deals if only I can get in touch with who owns them. Any help on best cost effective way to find owners? Even if it's a foreclosure. This is the only thing in the way of me making my first deal. Any help is appreciated. I've tried calling courthouse but they never call me back. TIA!

@Lydia T. Thanks for the advice! I like the way double closing is private but the closing costs are what I'm scared of right now. So I may try the assignment contracts and see where that leads. Still working on getting my first deal.

So I have been studying wholesaling and I'm on the contracts part. My question is when doing an assignment contract has anyone ever had a buyer get mad and not close on the deal because they see how much you are making?
