I have noticed houses selling for extremely low on Zillow sometimes. This has to be a error correct? I'll try to post a link to some examples below.

Im having a hard time finding a property to flip for my first time. I don't know if it's my market or my skills at finding properties. I want some experience though. I was thinking maybe I could just try to break even or possible risk losing a little on my first property just to get my feet wet? Any suggestions?

@David Dachtera Thanks. all of this information is helping me get a better understanding of what a PIG really is. I thought I had a better grip on it than that.

@Joel Owens That's a good Idea. I have noticed that newly renovated properties are not always what the seller is trying to make you believe it is. I feel like they are just using keywords to help make a sell.

@Logan Hassinger. I definitely want to avoid something like that lol

@Ben Leybovich Oohhhh so the PIG is more about how bad the property is financially than how bad it looks. I was thinking it was more of a PIG from the person that is going to buy it from you perspective. Its overall just a bad investment.

Hey. I have heard the term lipstick on a pig a lot since I have got into real estate. What actually constitutes lipstick on a pig over a real rehab? Is putting lipstick on a pig something like just replacing carpet and painting in a house that needs electrical ,plumbing ,or foundational work?
