The "work" needed would not be a full renovation but rather an update (kitchen and floors mostly).

Hello! I'm in Nashville as well. But I am from Chattanooga (well Ringgold, GA). Northwest GA is great for investment properties because of its location and school system. My mom is currently looking to sell my grandmothers house (she recently passed away). The house needs a little work, but is in an excellent location as far as school's, interstate access, etc. My mom would rather not go thru an agent but rather sell direct to an individual/investor. If you are interested, let me know.

Hi! I am a complete newbie here and need help/advice. I wanted to see if anyone else has heard that the government is looking to diversify the construction industry by helping women business owners branch into the construction arena. Someone told me there was some 2 week class I could take to do this and be able to submit RFP's to the government for smaller >$100k projects....but they couldn't remember all the details. Does anyone know what specifically they were referring to? I am currently getting my RE license but my ultimate dream is REI, flipping and/or design and staging. I don't know where to start or what certifications I need to do any of the above mentioned. This is a complete career change for me.
