I think @Account Closed is on to something!  Maybe you can market it that way and keep it booked.  There are a lot of people into that kind of thing.  Me on the other hand...I would certainly want to know if a place I was going to rent was haunted as that kind of stuff freaks me out.  If you aren't going to try and market it as a haunted house, I'd at least put some small disclaimer that past guests have had ghostly visits or something..Or sell it and buy something not haunted!  LOL   Btw, I'd love to hear some of the stories you've heard!

Here is a summary before we purchased it in 2010.  It burned to the ground in 2017.  We built a new cabin, but we still are hearing some strange stories.

That is so cool!  Thanks for sharing!! :D  While I wouldn't want to stay there, that is definitely a neat story..and if I ever dealt with a ghost, I hope it would be cleaning up after me and setting the table.  Sounds like a perfect ghost for your airbnb!  LOL

Hi @Kiran K.  I would agree with those that told you to self manage.  I currently manage my own short term rental and It's not too difficult (Although, I"m not far away, I'm close by, but I think I could do most everything from afar).  If you are able to find a good set of cleaners and a good reliable handyman..that should be all you need.  Dealing with guests does take a bit of time...I think you can automate a lot of it, like for instance your check in message and check out messages could easily be automated...But you want your guests to have a good experience, and you want them to feel that you care about them and care if they are having a good time on their vaca.  I think that is one of the big reasons that people leave 5 star reviews.  If your property management company isn't doing this..they are hurting your business.

@Colby T Sullivan Hey there!  I'm also a fellow investor and I live in Santa Rosa County also, specifically Navarre!  I'd suggest maybe checking out Milton, it seems like they are a little more reasonably priced...also like Caleb mentioned, Pensacola also has some pretty low priced properties as well! Best of luck to you! :)

@Steven Schaefer Sent you the info!  She's a great agent and she's local to the Battle Ground area! Let me know if I can do anything else for you. :)

@Caleb Drake  Not sure if you are open to Navarre at all, but there is a really cool wine bar called The Vine.  They have kind of a back room that is more private, they may be open to a meetup. :)

@Caleb Drake  If it was in Gulf Breeze I'd definitely attend!!  If you want help trying to find a place, I'd be more than happy to try and help out!  I tried to start a meetup when I was living in WA state..first one I had a few attendees...but it was at the start of COVID so it was kind of bad timing to get a group off the ground. Do you plan on having any guest speakers or just kind of a meet and greet for networking?

Hey @Caleb Drake I'm actually a member of PIG and plan on finally getting around to making it to a meetup soon!  However, I'd be interested in another meetup if it was closer to me.  Are you planning on keeping it in Pensacola?

Hey @Steven Schaefer I used to be licensed in WA state but I moved out to Florida here recently.  I have a great realtor I'd love to refer you to!  If you would like I can direct message you her contact info?
