@Daniel Peavey

Congratulations! I know what you mean about having an "E" mindset...

You are a skilled electrician, so in your retired life, maybe volunteer that skill at church, overseas, or Habitat for Humanity?

@Ben Dunning

Like you, I started with TK in Indy.

Was it the "best"? No, but great is the enemy of good. I flew out there, did the tours, shook hands.

Question is: compared to what? If this is a way for you to begin RE investing in a way that you are comfortable with, and you can sleep at night then only you know that. Let us know how it goes.

I'm curious what Bay Area and LA investors experiences are with rent controls?

The current battle rages in Mountain View:

I'm reading Dave Lindahl's Multifamily Millions now because you recently recommended it!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Btw, can you recommend a RE investor friendly tax planner in the Bay Area?

@Jonathan Studdard

I'd pay down any high interest debt (credit cards, car, etc...) and like a few others posted, don't rush into any deals.

Maybe even go to a local RE meetup but don't advertise that you have an inheritance...

Read, podcasts, define goals and good luck!
