@Ryan Whitcher, Thanks! Actually I am in the car for my job most of my day and listen non stop the the BP podcast. There's a lot of good info and stories.

Hello from Yacolt Wa!

My name is Hai and I’m extremely excited to be here. There’s so much knowledge here on BiggerPockets and I’m ready to soak it all in!

I’ve lived in Oregon all my life up until April of 2018 when my wife son and I moved to what we feel is our dream. My wife and I moved out to the country where we want our son to grow up. This made me rethink my career. I’m currently an employee of Verizon and have been for the last 14 years. They’ve been great to me and have given me opportunities and skills I am thankful for. Looking forward 5, 10, 15 years down the road I want to be financially taken care of so I can provide a great future for my family. I don’t foresee myself working as an “employee” till I’m 60 or 70. I want to be in control of my life and earnings and enjoy life how we see fit.

I joined up in order to tap into this well of knowledge to guide me in the next chapter of my life. I’m wanting to get started with rental properties and then who knows where that leads me. In my current situation I’m going to need to pick up a second job in order to save up for my first property investment. I have heard pros and cons of being a real estate agent and an investor but I hope BP can guide me in the right direction.

Here’s my background and experiences:

- Account management (national accounts)

- Management (retail locations)

- Operations ( analytics and reporting )

- Sales, customer support and retention

Long story short thanks for having this platform for people like me wanting to succeed in life and thanks for the read.
