I have to imagine that if you’re near Syracuse, that would be the place to start. Large population, so plenty of renter base. loll

I would change the locks if you didn’t get the keys back. Cheap peace of mind. Re-rent asap if it was me

Cool, I’d love a property in Ithaca as well. Great potential. The buy in is high though compared with corning and elmira. That’s where I am. Great you’ve done some glass, I work from the furnace.

I have several notes with different banks as well, gotta go with the best deal. I have auto pay for ease. I pick up the rent in person as I only have a few units. Gives me a chance to see the apartments and the grounds, so for me it’s the way to go. I simply deposit the checks through the app to the appropriate bank. Always good to have a months rent+ in each account as reserves

I live across the street from one and 20 minutes from the other. For me, the closer the better. Corning, NY

I would look at what the current rents look like and taxes. I live in NY and taxes really cut into the bottom line.
