Jeremy,

I just wanted to welcome you to the BP Community!! It is good to have you as part of our ever growing community. You have made a wise choice in becoming part of the BP Community as there is a ton of information, podcasts, webinars, and books of flipping houses. I would recommend John Scott's book on "Flipping Houses" and I believe the other is "Estimating the Cost of Rehab" both good books. I would also very highly recommend attending or joining a local REI group or club near you they can often be a very good source of information and also a good gauge as to the market in your area. If you have any questions that maybe I can answer for you please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to answer what I can or get you the answer. You will also find that there are many people in this community that are willing to help, offer advice, make suggestions, or try and point you in the right direction so don't be afraid to post a question if you are not sure about something it could save you from making a big mistake and costing you a lot.

Good Luck in your new adventure in flipping houses. I wish you much success!!

Hi Morgan,

Welcome to our investor friendly BP Community!! I bet you guys are excited to get things going you are in a good state to be flipping or making rentals for your portfolio. If you are looking to just work the Texas market I would try Capital Title. But, if you are thinking you may want to be able to go outside the Texas area Old Republic Title is a far bigger company that can handle both your local Texas & outside of Texas deals. But, like everyone else has mentioned get out to your local REI meetings they are always your best source of information going on in your local investing marketplace. If you have any questions or would just like to talk about your investing plans please feel free to contact me and I will try and help.

Good Luck on your RE Investing and Have a Fantastic Day!!

Hi Reuven,

Welcome to the Bigger Pockets Community you have made a wise choice joining. I would like to congratulate you on your pending first flipping deal. This is a very good area and have spoken to a lot of RE Investors both looking at flipping and rentals for their portfolios. I would recommend joining or attending a local REI meeting or group they often can give a lot of information and insight to your local market. If you would ever like to talk more about your investing plans or if you have questions maybe I can help with please feel free to contact me.

Again Welcome to the BP Community & Your first flip in your new career of RE Investing!!

Hi Shaz,

I wanted to extend a warm welcome to you for joining the BP Community. You have made a very wise investment towards your real estate investing career. It is great that your are listening to the podcasts but there is much more to the site and also book which are great reads if you get the opportunity to check them out. I would be interested in hearing more about what it is exactly that you are doing with your consulting business. I think maybe we could help each other when you have a minute or have time to discuss what you do in more detail please let me know. Maybe there are some questions I can answer for you as well. Again welcome to the community go ahead and engage with the community they are all good people here willing to help or offer advice. Speaking of advice I would recommend as Paul Timmins did and find local REI groups or meetings to attend they are great sources of networking, finding out the local market, and asking questions.

Please let me know if you would like to talk sometime.

Good Luck & Happy Investing!!

Hi Alex,

Welcome newcomer to our BP Community. I am always excited when we get new people coming in because it means our community is growing. My best advice to you Alex is to dive in and become a sponge and absorb as much knowledge as you can from here. There is plenty of information from webinars, podcasts, articles, forums and books (which if you are looking at doing fix & flips check out John Scott's 2 books "Flipping Houses" & "Estimating Rehab Costs") Otherwise engage with other members here. The next piece of advice would be to find a local REI Club, group, or meeting to attend were you can talk with people just like you and get information and insight first hand of your market. If you have any questions that I may answer for you please let me know or post them here on the site.

Good Luck to you on your Real Estate journey!!

Hi Tierra,

Hello and welcome to our community here at BP!! Even though you are not sure 100% on what your plan is it is still a plan to start with and that is important. I agree with what the others have said in regards to being a sponge and absorbing all the information & education you can. Mike Brown gave some good advice about both the John Scott podcast and his books. I would also recommend searching for local REIA or REI Clubs or meeting to attend where you can speak with individuals like you who are RE Investors they maybe new like you or seasoned investors but they can be a great source for learning about your local market.

I wish you good luck in whatever path of investing you choose!!
