Hi everyone, What is entailed in becoming a realtor? Is this a good idea for someone wanting to invest in rental real estate? What happens after I pass all the tests? Can I sell real estate part time or is it worth while to do it full time. How do you get paid? Is it straight commission or is there a steady paycheck starting out? How much does it cost to become a realtor? Should I just stay in my own profession and leave the realtor to the professionals and hope I find a good one? Any in site will be appreciated thanks.

Thanks Adam, Good to hear from someone in this area. I may get back to you. Is buy and hold mean you are a landlord until you can sell? You collect rent from tenants then give them 30 days notice before you sell?

Hello Everyone, My name Dennis and I am just scratching the surface to the real estate world. I don't have any money but I am hopeful that will change. I want to get into rental properties in my area. I know there is a lot to learn and everything that I read here on BP is very interesting...Like a book you can't put down. I look forward to discovering my mentors and putting together my team. Is a mortgage loan officer a good mentor? Or a realtor? I know a couple, but is there any conflict of interest rules here? Thanks for any responses and I look forward to a long relationship with BP community.

Hello everyone Newbie here, So what about this Robert Kiyosaki? Is this something I should be reading? Or is he a some fake trying to scam money? Part two: Is it a good idea to become a realtor to invest in rental property. Do I then need to work in an organization selling homes? Or can I just get my license to have access to the info they would receive?
