Thank you for the tips Matt! I’ll check those out. I’ve been reading the beginners guide that BP offers and have learned quite a bit! 🙂

Thanks a bunch! I just downloaded the ebook and will listen to the podcasts as well. I’ve already gained a lot information just from reading the forums. So the questions I asked have now been answered! I’m excited and nervous at the same time.

Let me take a listen and download the book. I would be interested in doing role plays as that would help to make us sound like professionals as opposed to stumbling novices!
Can you give an update on how your friend does once he completes the course. Interested in knowing if they found it helpful and if it actually works.
Someone else posted about one of their friends taking the advanced classes. Just below this post. I’ll ask him to post an update on how their friend and if they thought it was worth the investment. I attended the 3 day course as well and thought that it was a bit much to invest. Although I’m a DIY’er so I’d rather link with someone that’s actually doing these things in my area and see what knowledge I can gain from that. Being on BP has helped to inform me a little more on the do’s and don’ts. I am still in the data collection phase as I want to be as informed as possible before I stick my neck out there. 🙂
They teach a lot of overview things but I didn’t take the extended courses b/c I felt that I didn’t learn enough in the course that I took to proceed further with the course. The bonus of taking the class was networking with people who are already in the field. It was a lot of great information to get my wheels spinning and gave a bit more insight into delving deeper in the REI world. I was able to take away from the seminar tips and tricks to get started by doing more research and due diligence. So hopefully your friend will be able to apply what he learned and become extremely successful in this field! 🙂

Greetings everyone,

Hope you are are having a fantastic week! My name is Angie and I am learning as much as possible before I step out into the game of REI. I have worked in real estate briefly as an assistant to brokers so I am familiar with the personal purchase and selling of homes. There is sooooo much information out there on the World Wide Web. Deciphering what's actually solid and legit information is the hard part. Recently I learned of becoming an REI without using my own money by connecting wholesalers with cash buyers. Im a brand new baby with this so as much information you all can share is much appreciated! Point me in the right direction please and thank you! :-)

Is there a template for the conversation that you must have with buyers and sellers? Is there a standard finders fee that is charged? Are there any legit/honest websites that will help out with the process?
