 Hi Mike ,I have been all over Costa Rica and have permanent residency there now, even though I live in Oakland Ca. Happy to answer any questions. The process is pretty straight forward. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer as best I can. I spend the majority of my time on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica but it is the same all over.

@Nate Sanow thanks for the heads up. We already have crazy strict landlord laws in the SF Bay Area, I want to avoid more of those if I can so I appreciate the advice. I am happy to answer any questions you or anyone has about Costa Rica! I will work out putting together a post about my experience for everyone as well!

Hi everyone!

I am in the SF Bay Area and looking to invest out of state and landed on St. Louis as a potential place to start investing. I have never been to St. Louis but have heard positive things from people who have either lived there or visited.

I have a little experience in REI as my husband and I are currently house hacking a 4 plex in Oakland, Ca, and I bought land and built 6 vacation apartments on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica that I STR.

I have no experience investing in a location I am not familiar with but eager to absorb any help/making any connections with people in the area that I can. 

Are there neighborhoods to absolutely avoid? 

I appreciate any help or guidance!
