Hi Jay,

Welcome and congrats on your new adventure. My name is Alfred Dynia and I'm a local real estate attorney. I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you as your real estate attorney. If you have someone in place already, I understand but would appreciate it if you had me on your list of go to attorneys. Feel free to reach out to me should you have any questions.

Thanks

Hello Bret,

Congratulations on your investment purchase. I wanted to jump in for a quick second and introduce myself. I am a local real estate attorney that would be happy to chat with you if you feel you need some guidance. I say this because the Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) is a bit tricky to navigate for first time landlords and experienced landlords as well. As some of the other members have already mentioned, proper notice needs to be given to your tenants, certain bank accounts need to be maintained and certain rules of access need to be followed. I strongly encourage you to seek out a real estate attorney to assist you with keeping in compliance with the RTLO. Best of luck to you and congratulations again.

Hi Carl and welcome to Bigger Pockets!

I'm a real estate attorney in the area and have worked with many investors. If you need any guidance please feel free to reach out to me. I'm also a CPA and have found that is useful for my investors. Best of luck on your new adventure.

Hello Leah,

I'm happy to have a chat with you. Please feel free to reach out to me when you have a moment.

Thank you.

@Chris Seveney I recommend @Lumi Ispas as your realtor whom would be happy to help in Downtown Chicago, North Side and the suburbs around. A lot of my international clients buy Downtown condo units and multifamily buildings in the Northside!

@Demetrius Davis

Congratulations on the two flips you've done. I work with a lot of investors that rehab and flip properties, and have been doing this for 13 years as an attorney, 9 as a CPA, and a combined 22 years as an investor. In the Midwest market, fall and winter see a significant slowdown in owner-occupant buyers. To the untrained eye, this appears to be a grim reflection of the market. However, many investors use this as a time to acquire properties, in preparation for the Spring market, which officially/unofficially starts the weekend after the Super Bowl, assuming the weather cooperates.

Happy hunting!!!
