Colorado Foreclosures

Some great news coming out regarding Colorado foreclosures this morning. The Denver Business Journal has an article detailing a report that May Colorado foreclosures dropped 4 percent from April and 13.5 percent from May of 2010.

This squares up with what our team has been seeing in the market. There seems to be a slowly decreasing supply of foreclosures and Denver HUD homes in the market and the foreclosures that are being listed are moving very, very quickly (assuming they are priced correctly by the bank).

If you have questions or would like to discuss the market in detail, call our team at 303-726-1874.

Colorado foreclosure filings down sharply from 2010, says RealtyTrac

Colorado still ranks among the top 10 states in the nation in terms of foreclosure rates, but the state's filings in May dropped 4 percent from April and 13.5 percent from May 2010, according to a report Thursday from RealtyTrac Inc.

The state saw 4,187 foreclosure filings in May, or one out of every 518 housing units, higher than the national rate of one out of 605, RealtyTrac said. That gave Colorado the tenth-highest rate in the nation.
