5 GREAT Books From My Bookshelf
I have literally read hundreds of books over the past couple years. There are a few that really stand out (not in any order) and I want to share these titles with you and hope that you will gain value from them. If you have read any of these, leave a comment on which ones and what your opinion of that book was.
1. Pitch Anything by Oran Klaff
I cannot even express how much this book has changed my perception of pitching...anything. I actually found out about this book through Joe Fairless's blog. I think I finished this book in one night. Oran will keep you very amused and entertained, I highly recommend this book for anyone who feels like their presentation is never good enough.
2. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
This is the very first book I read and why I am now involved over my head in real estate :) I think most people who have read this book can agree that Robert just breaks things down in such a simple matter. It was defiantly an "aha" moment for me. I was so broke when I read this book and immediately started renting out my extra rooms and literally made over 10K in a short period of time literally turning my liabilities into assets. A must read for anyone considering a change in life for the better.
3. Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
There is a reason why more copies have been sold then any other book, outside of the Bible. The principles found in this book can be applied in any area of your life. I have read this book multiple times and each time, my takeaway is different then the time before. It's true, you must change your mindset before anything else can change. Think & Grow Rich can really help you with this.
4. The Compound Effect -Darren Hardy
GREAT book! One of my favorites! Why? Because it teaches you that it's not necessarily the massive action that creates the great life changing shifts but rather the small subtle changes you make to your daily routine over a period of time that results in a better life overall. I love the practical advise and examples Darren uses. The book held my interests and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
5. Building Wealth One House At A Time by John Schaub
This is a must read for those that think real estate is a "get rich quick" scheme. It really gives the reader perspective and offers really insightful tips on building wealth for the long term. I really enjoyed reading this and recommend it to new investors.
Would love to hear what your favorite books are. Leave a comment below.

@Rachelle Rayner, thank you for sharing this list and I now have 3 new books to add to my reading list!
I think that Rich Dad, Poor Dad will always be my personal favorite. We were also broke when I read this and I had been spending all my time and efforts on reducing debt and learning about personal finance. This book shifted my whole thinking and promoted me to take action.
I'm currently reading "The Speed Of Trust" by Stephen Covey. This book is also about mindset but with a focus on relationships. An interesting take away is how trust affects all interactions in our lives.
