What I learned in the month of March

Well, first of all I have to admit that I had to figure out how to get back here to write another Blog.  I am still not sure if I know how to get back here to write another one later this week for the month of April.  Any way, the month of March was a learning experience for me, not because I did not have a closing; but because I realize why I did not have a closing for the month of March.  I had over committed myself, but promising my broker and his partners to do a project for them, which was to clean out a warehouse that they just purchased.  I had two partners in the deal, which our plans was to make more than enough selling the items in the warehouse to pay for help to clean it out.  The items did not sale like we had planned, and one of my partners got tired of coming to the warehouse without any additional help from myself or the other partner and because we were not making the amount of money like we had planned .  So he stop coming and I filled in for the next two months.  Even though I was able to get 1 floor and most of the 2 floor cleaned out with the help of someone else that I traded parts for their labor, I was not able to finish it by myself.

What I learned from this experience was to 1. take my time to consider the commitments that I make and how much time they could away from my main focus right now which is real estate to complete.  2. Take my time and vet the people that I partner up with on any project.  3. Put agreements in writing even if it is something as simple as cleaning out a warehouse, and I know the people I am partnering with.
