WIRE: Women In Real Estate
WIRE is a wonderful organization that I just recently found out about. They have groups based in different parts of the country. Membership is completely free and it just offers a wonderful resource for women in all aspects of real estate or those professions that intersect with real estate. Here in the Boston/Cambridge area this group has gone a step further and started doing more than the typical breakfast or seminar as a way to introduce women in the profession to each other. They have teamed up with the wonderful group at EBF Boston to create an event that they hold every other Wednesday called WWIRE. This stands for Wellness for Women In Real Estate and has been a huge success over the last year. Women are invited to come tryout the workout circuit for free at EBF while networking with the peers. It's perfect for those who have trouble finding time to workout because they have another networking event to go to with not so healthy for you treats. This combines the workout time with the meetup time. And just in case you're wondering how you talk while doing a workout like the amazing classes offered at EBF, you don't :)
But there is plenty of time both before the work out and after to get to know those next to you who are also busting their butt. After most of the special Wednesday workouts, there are local groups in the industry who sponsor a free smoothie mingle in the juice bar upstairs.
