A Modular Home in Manassas
In Novemeber 2008 a single family house on Damascus Drive in the Westgate of Lomond section of Manassas caught fire. It sat vacant until the Summer of 2009 when I bought it with a builder. The house was demolished. The basement foundation was raised a foot higher and prepared for a modular home to be placed on top.
While the fire damaged house was being demolished, a new, factory built modular home was being put together. Soon after the house was demolished, the modular home was put on the foundation.
Now, one year after the fire, the finishing touches are being completed. We are actually waiting for the electric company to come out and install the electric meter. Once electirc is turned on, we will have the contractors do the final work to the basement rooms and it will be ready for new homeowners.
