The Power Team Or The Sour Team

When anyone gets into real estate, one of the first lessons they learn about is picking their power team. This is supposed to be the team of people around you that help make your life easy because they handle different specialties. Typical power team members would include contractors, an attorney, CPA, Realtor etc. The interesting part about this process is that I see people brand new to the business establish their power team before they do any business with them or research. This is like going on a blind date with your money being what is at risk. Our power team members have taken years to find and weed out to get to the right people. The experts on our team are black belts in their specialty. We know this because we have worked with them, not because we found them in the yellow pages. You might ask how do you get a power team member if you are new and have not worked with someone. My suggestion is to spend the time researching the people you choose to work with and either see their prior work or get referrals from trusted sources. A bad power team member makes a good sour team member.
