12.19.13 Update on Frozen Pipes

We think we got off easy with our frozen pipes after all.

When we arrived there was water streaming out of the duplex, but by the time our handyman arrived the next morning, he thought that the water had all drained well, and it was an easy plumbing fix. We'll have to continue to monitor the drywall in maintenance inspections, but he didn't think we'd have any issues.

Our tenants went to stay with friends instead of taking us up on our offer to put them up in a hotel, and the handyman bill was less than $200, so looks like our 2013 rental finances aren't sabotaged after all. Feeling blessed.
