The Calabria Investment Plan

I have just finished reading several documents produced by the European Union outlining the Regional Development Plan that has already started taking place in Calabria, that will last until 2013.

This involves the allocation of over €3 Billion to be spent on improving this area, bridging the gap between north and south.

Interestingly 12% of this budget will be spent on making the region a more competitive tourist destination and a whopping 16% on accessibilty into the region both externally and internally.
