My Biggest Piece Of Advice: Find a Human

Before you do anything else, find a human. Find a human that shares the same views in REI as you, the same (or similar) goals. This can be, like in our case, your husband or wife, or a friend maybe? Or for most, it’s a person you “met” on Instagram or BP forums. The reason I say this, is often you dream up all these goals in your head. I know, I've been there. You closet listen to BP podcasts all day, and spend nights scrolling Brandon Turners Instagram page while your friends scroll Tasty’s new recipes. But the issue (most of the time) is when your not forced to say your dreams out loud, to write them down, talk about them in real life scenarios- they often stay “dreams”. So my biggest piece of advice would be find someone you can talk to about your REI goals and dreams, and do it. Bounce ideas off one another- run numbers on random properties, ask each other questions you don’t know the answers too but you can’t find on google. This doesn’t have to be a “mentor” and can easily be a peer as well. I just know the power of having someone to manifest your dreams with (I do with my wife) so get on Instagram, head to BP forums, and start networking, and find someone who needs you just as much as you need them! And if you can’t find anyone or you’re too shy to ask, I'm here with open arms!
