Its the end of the world as we KNOW it!

This is long but I think it needed to be said!
IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT. It’s no secret that as the pandemic continues to spread and more and more people are afflicted and affected by it some people believe it’s the end of the world. While the world is not coming to an end, it is most certainly the end of the world as we know it. The post Covid-19 world WILL undoubtedly be much different than the one we left behind. This is not the first time we as a community, country or a people have seen this and it will most certainly not be the last.

That being said I implore you to see the opportunities that this has presented rather than focus on the limitations you now face. Covid-19 aside for a moment look around, we have the opportunity to hit the reset button, much like we did in the wake of 9-11 and all the other catastrophe’s that have come before it. Its easy to get caught up in all the negativity of our current situation but look beyond the headlines and read the news. Look at all the stories of communities coming together to help each other. Look past the school closures and see the opportunity you have been given to spend more time with your children, and family. See past the teleworking mandates and see the family dinners, the extra time together that just a few short weeks ago you longed for. So many of us wish we had more time to spend at home with our families that time is now. The market is in trouble, but there will be an amazing opportunity during the recovery, all those that wished they had gotten into stocks sooner now have that chance.

There are so many opportunities that are or soon will be presented in the wake of all this craziness, all those things you wish you would have done sooner are now or soon will be available to you again. The saying you can’t roll back the clock, or make up for missed time, in business, finance or family is no longer a truth. Covid-19 has hit the rewind button and rolled back the clock for us all.

A lot of us will find ourselves out of work in the coming months and weeks, this too presents an opportunity. Been fantasizing about a career change? Want to take professional classes? Now is the time. Creativity will be key in navigating the future take advantage of the time!

Stop focusing on the Negative of this and start realizing the positives that it presents, see the opportunities and seize the day. Help each other, no matter your circumstance you are better off than someone out there, reach back and help them through we need to pull together and help each other through this, people all over the globe are pulling together to help strangers, this is human nature not all the crap we see in the news traditionally.

Now is not the time to horde food but the opportunity to share with those in need!

Now is not the time to stockpile Toilet paper but the opportunity to help a neighbor!

Now is not the time to sit on the couch and feel sorry for yourself but the opportunity to make yourself better!

Now is not the time for Politics but the opportunity to re-define Bi-Partisan and work together to better us all!

Now is not the time to fixate on the news but the opportunity to reach out to that friend or family member you have been meaning to call and reconnect with!

Now is no the time for distance but the opportunity to find new ways to connect with each other!

And finally now is not the time to give up but the opportunity to start a new, to dedicate yourself to a higher cause, by being a better mother or father, teacher, brother or sister, citizen. Community and country!

Again I do not have much, I have not horded supplies but I do have a lot, I am still working, I am healthy, and I have the support of my wonderful family.
