Our Crowdfunding Network Is Growing Part 67
Our 4th raise is going well. We have $55k committed in the first week. We're not in a big rush on this raise because we have a few months to close on the project. We really want to use this as an opportunity to test our our marketing and how it pulls. We're learning a lot on that front right now.
I'm still knee-deep in the legal for Title IV and for doing third party deals. We expect the SSB to give us some feedback next week on whether or not they think we need to register as a RIA or operate under some other regime for what we're trying to do. Doing real estate portfolio company projects is one thing, but debt deals with other types of securities may make things a bit different.
Our technology continues to improve. There are a few things on the back end that need to be worked out to track investors better. We also should have our CRM fully integrated next week and be able to ditch Sugar.
I'm working on getting us set up with broker-dealers that can sell our securities. We had some good conversations about that last week and I signed the first NDA for sharing of agreements and IP last week. I expect to have several more conversations like this going forward.
We're working on a pitch deck for large institutional financiers like family offices or funds that could pre-fund our projects. We would also sell portions of their projects and provide them with a technology implementation to assist with their back-end grunt work. We'll see how that goes. For now we'll probably just do smaller deals and pre-fund them out of our own coffers. We're not really ready to do big deals yet anyway.
I should hopefully have a loan committee set up soon in preparation for debt projects on our portal and screening for assets we keep on our balance sheet for our new fund soon. We have more meetings set up with local lenders with 15+ years of experience and seasoned attorneys that wish to be on this board. This should allow us to present the best projects for our investors going forward. After this is complete I'll search for similar resources for equity projects as well.
