BiggerPockets Groups - A Great Feature

One of my favorite features about BiggerPockets is the “Groups” section.  You can find it by going to Community->Groups and searching through the list of groups.  I started a group on real estate syndication a little over 4 months ago and it has already grown to over 100 members.  There have been some great threads in the group with nuggets of wisdom that are hard to find anywhere else.  Having a targeted group also helps to keep the discussion on topic and for members to share comments in a small setting where people would really have to be interested in a topic to participate instead of just viewing the main board.

Starting a new group allows you to moderate and control who is or is not allowed to participate in the group.  If you like the idea of trading information via a message forum, but are worried about broadcasting details to a wider audience you can have the best of both worlds by starting a group.  I also like that having the group associated with your profile broadcasts to other members what you are interested in learning more about.

If you are interested in learning more about real estate syndication I would like to invite you to participate in our group on BiggerPockets.  If you have trouble locating the group feel free to send me a PM and I will be happy to share the url with you.

  1. Thanks Charles...it is growing and we hope more will contribute going forward.

  2. The groups forums can be a powerful way to share ideas, experiences with a concentrated list of members with a specific interest. Bryan, the syndication group seems to be working.

  3. Great tips, Bryan! Thanks for sharing.
