Our Crowdfunding Network Is Growing Part 29
Yesterday I officially was invited to speak at the crowdfunding event in Austin. Richard Rodman (Crowdentials) will be on my panel as will attorney Mark Roderick and Trish Costello (Founder of Portfolia). Here is the topic of our panel:
Crowdfunding is the latest source of funding for entrepreneurs looking to start a business. There are many advantages to crowdfunding and also a new set of rules that entrepreneurs must follow to insure that they are being compliant. Being well informed of Title II and Title III rules can mean the difference between success and failure. This panel consisting of legal and compliance experts will address the nuances of the rules and what you need to know to be safe.
It should be an interesting discussion. The rest of the conference is shaping up to be eventful too based on the agenda I see. WIN will also be hosting a meeting the night of the first day of the conference with speakers from both Fundrise and Realty Mogul planning to attend.
I spoke with our securities attorney today and we're strategizing about a "TTW-like" document for our new site. Hopefully we can have that up in the coming month. Inner 10 Development's LLC is almost finalized and we're opening the bank account this week to keep common expenses common in this entity. Inner 10 Capital is up next and should be ready in a few months.
We're working with GroundBreaker to try to get our portal set up as well and we have a 2nd call with FundAmerica tomorrow to see how their services compare. With any luck in 2-3 months everything will be fully up and running and we'll be raising money both via our new portal and on the third party portals.
