House Hack Experience of Respect

House Hacking periodically shifts the mind into a landlord/owner and I can see my actions follow. Instead of thinking I cannot do this to the home because it's not mine (renter mindset) I think what can I do to improve the house and make the property better for the people living here (landlord/owner mindset). The house is a place for shelter for the average renter but when you own it, it has an emotional aspect to it I never would have thought. I am not referring to where you are in love with the properties where you are making bad decisions based upon feelings but in a respect and pride aspect to the property. I treat my properties like a product that was made from someone who is in love with their work. Think of a chef who loves to see their food be devoured by someone who appreciates the food they prepared for them. That is my feeling towards real estate and my properties. It takes a lot of work to maintain a property but having a property that will help the community will go along way when you are serving others. I am in the people business and real estate is the product that makes people happy.
