I Believe In Real Estate - An Awakening

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they reach the summit of their journey, a vantage point from which the end of their path can be seen. It is at this point where you will make a decision, whether you realize it or not, to continue on that path or choose a different path with a different destination. The choice is made every day but it is this critical moment that seals your fate. This is the moment of acceptance or change.

For years I was deceived – on a road to destruction, following the masses, chasing mediocrity. I was part of a doomed system, without hope. I believed saving could save me and that frugality was the key to success, the height of financial wisdom. I was a fool, sacrificing much now for little later. I was futilely working, accumulating something I didn’t understand, not realizing that money is powerless to those who do not know how to use it.

I stood on the brink of destruction; I felt the chains of bondage – a self-appointed slave, reduced to a 5-digit number; sacrificing my body and mind to power a corporate machine. Just when all hope was lost and my fate seemed sealed, a light appeared in the darkness – a moment of clarity in an unsure time. I have experienced an awakening. I have seen the error of my ways, the end of my path, and I have made my decision. I will not give up. I will not accept my current situation. I will not forfeit my freedom. I will fight. I will succeed. I will reach my full potential. I will chart a new course with a new destination. My destiny lies in real estate.

For me, the turning point was as much a spiritual experience as an intellectual decision. I was blind, I could not have seen the way if my eyes had not been opened. My mind was clouded, I could not have understood a higher philosophy had I not been enlightened. I would not have had the courage had I not embraced it in faith; faith in its solidity, faith in its value, faith in its power. I believe in real estate.

There are many who do not share this revelation, who say real estate investing is too much work, too much sacrifice; who say the financial risk is too great. Many are enslaved, desperately clinging to an illusion of security – afraid to fight, afraid to fail. As for me, I am not afraid. I have been losing money my entire life: lost opportunity, working below my potential, spending in ignorance. I have worked as hard to be broke as others have worked to be wealthy. I have sacrificed much already: my time, my family, my body, my freedom. The only thing I fear is inaction, spending the rest of my life watching it pass by, unfulfilled and unlived.
