Introduction: The Why?

This blog is meant to be a reminder for me of the journey.  Perhaps, it will inspire someone else as well.

I have (or had)  three widows that I felt responsible for - My Great Aunt Margie, My Bigmama, and my Grandma.  Aunt Margie passed in the summer of 2014. My Bigmama passed this summer, summer of 2017.  My Grandma is still alive.  

Each of these ladies were trailblazers.  My Aunt Margie lived in various cities across the United States alone, as a single black woman in the 1950's and 1960's.  During the same time period, my Bigmama bought her house and car without a husband, without a co-signor, all on her own while my Grandma has been a preacher long-before the church was ready to recognize female preachers.

These 3 are my legacy.  They identified their purpose, their goals, and blazed the trail.  I believe real estate investing will give me more control so that I can do this along with allowing me to help families build lasting memories.
