All I need is a jump-shot to go in

Like to preface this by saying I'm not the best writer.  You are going to stumble into run on sentences...just forewarning you lol.

June 2017 I made the decision that despite the amount of money I made on my W2 gig, I still felt empty.  Working since 10  - I've never been really afraid of work.  From packing bags at a supermarket to flipping burgers at a fast food joint  - it did not matter to me.  Attended college, found a job and climbed up the corporate ladder through sheer hard work. Why I say hard work?  Because quite honestly, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box.  I was just eager to learn from others and through hard work and studying I got into a position that I honestly don't love.

So why I made this decision?  Well for one, I always feared my job can always be taken away...it doesn't matter if I'm a director of _____.  The company can decide tomorrow my services are no longer needed.  Then what?  I contemplated becoming a personal trainer - -turns out I don't have the patience for people where I want it more than they do.  If you want to lose weight or be fit, I cannot want it more than you do...so next..that only lasted but so long (may revisit at some point).

Here comes real estate...I knew about it, but didn't care to dig deeper...my mom always told me for years to invest in real estate...it went one ear out the other...

Back to June...began listening to bigger pockets podcasts and became infuriated at myself.  Why?  because I could've been retired from my 9-5 years ago...I had no idea you can do all these things with real estate - rehabs and hold, wholesaling etc...again, I'm not the brightest person see now?...So when I heard you can buy multiple properties and rehab and rent to get cash flow, I said what??? Sign me up!!

So far I've already made a few offers on distressed properties...let's see where this takes me I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Will keep you posted.

Kid from the Bronx grabbing life by the horns :)
