Mentor with wholesaling

I have a question about someone becoming my mentor in wholesaling. This is a paid mentor but my question is when he is coaching me through deals and maybe even talking to the sellers, im finding the deals though. When we finalize the deal, who gets paid? Or who gets the deal? is it 50/50?
