hi my name is victor glushak and me and my wife are putting together a marketing campaign and one thing that we are a little bit concerned about is putting our person information on the mailers?

has anyone had any issues with this?

like we want to use a po box and a google voice account

or is it better to has my person info so people feel a more person approach from us?

A good solution for a mailing address is getting a UPS box.  Its more official looking than a postal box most of the time.  Because it will be 211 Merry Lane, #289.... Where was a postal box will be obviously a postal box.  I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR FULL PERSONAL ADDRESS ON YOUR MAILING ITEMS. In today's day and age it is just not a good idea.

I am not familiar with google voice, but maybe another option is an answering service? Prepaid cell phone and number that you can turn off or forward after hours?

@Corina Eufinger

I second this. Avoid placing your personal address on your mailers, but it would be best to use a UPS box Vs. a P.O. box because it looks more authentic. Also, I've read that leaving no name and only a return address with get your piece opened more often.

Google voice is fantastic. You can get numbers that have local area code, forward all calls to a personal phone during business hours or have it go direct to your preset google voicemail. It can even transcribe calls for you and send them via email.

@Brandon Johnson, thank you for the explanation on Google Voice.  Can you set up the google voicemail like you would any other voicemail?

@Corina Eufinger

Yep. You can set up your message just like any regular voicemail. If you're forwarding calls, however, the caller will hear the #2 phone's voicemail message.

Don't put your personal info on there. You'd be surprised how angry some people get when they get a piece of mail, you don't want them to take it out on you.

One thing I've learned is to not use Google voice's auto service that has them state their name before it directs to you. It will deter homeowners

@Brentin Hess very true, I have had issues with that exact same feature myself.
