Of all the places you lived, where would you move to right now

I have only ever lived in Wisconsin so I do not have a good idea as to how it compares to other places.  I know it always seems that the grass is greener in another state but I want to get some sort of consensus.

The south is only getting hotter.  Austin TX has seen the average number of 100+ days go from 14 to 24 in the last 30 years.  The north is getting warmer ... I have seen winters here get milder and milder.  I could go south, but Illinois has high taxes like California and there is an outflux of people from both states.

To me, the states in the middle seem appealing.  Like NC, SC, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Nevada.

But I want to hear what you think.  Tell me a place that you have lived before and would be the one place you would live if you had nothing binding you to where you are now.

Of the places I've lived, Chattanooga, TN takes the cake. In order,:

I did an internship one summer in Fort Collins Colorado and loved it. Definitely a place I would love to live at again.

I was born in San Antonio, TX..moved to the Boise area in Idaho when I was 13, was stationed outside of Tacoma, WA in 2000 when I was in the Air Force, then came back to the Boise area in 2006 when I left the military and been here since.  If I had to choose a spot, it would be the South Puget Sound-Olympia/Tacoma area.  Green year 'round and gorgeous scenery, all the conveniences of the city but drive 30-45 minutes East and you're out in the woods.  On top of this, we're a little different than others in that we LOVE the weather there; give me drizzle/rain and gray skies all day long!  We loved it there and still plan to move back there eventually.  That is assuming you can find what you need in your price-range.  My wife and I went house hunting up there last year for a few days for our primary home and came up short...We would have a list of 15 homes to see the next day and our realtor would call us in the morning to let us know 8 of them went pending and 3 had multiple offers, then have the same experience the next day...we got priced out of the market there and so we stayed in the Boise area.  That being said, Boise is a great place and I'm grateful to be here.  Great quality of life and great people.  Getting pricey here too-bought our first primary home in Eagle in January, 2012 for $172k; that home now is about $420k.  I go back to San Antonio and to Fort Worth to visit family, and while I will ALWAYS be a proud Texan, there's no way I could live there; can't take the heat anymore!  The amazing food and awesome thunderstorms ALMOST makes up for that, though!

Of those places I would prefer to stay right where I am, North Houston (suburbs).  But, if I was forced to move somewhere, I guess I would head back to Apple Valley because I still have family in that area.

That is a toughie for me.  I have lived in greater Houston most of my life, but love the mountains.  Definitely the mountains with thick forests, clear mountain streams and rivers, and lots of outdoor recreation!  I don't care if it's in the U.S. or abroad!

@Kevin Rea I was born and raised in Wisconsin too and have lived many places in Western Wisconsin. In the late 1990s I moved to Fayetteville, NC then Knoxville, TN. I moved back to Wisconsin's west coast in the early 2000s and attended technical college. I almost moved back to Knoxville after I completed tech school but chose to stay put. I may move back to Tennessee somewhere before or during retirement. The winters in Tennessee are way more manageable. I never complained about Wisconsin winters until the last couple polar vortexes. Those get old quick and make me feel like moving south immediately. Knoxville was awesome 20 years ago.
