Leave it to our all knowing government to spend more of OUR money to help those that are upside down in their mortgage.

I believe it was the governments pressure to loosen lending regulations that started this whole underwater mortgage mess!

Now, they're reaching into OUR pockets (remember, the govt has no money of their own, they only have what they get from taxing US) to try and help those with under water mortgages. Yep, this government of ours will allow upside mortgages to be refinanced via FHA IF the existing lender agrees to forgive at least 10% of the original mortgage amount.

What next, will the government step in to assist borrowers that are upside down on their car loan? Maybe forgive a student loan? How about someone that just got carried away with their charge cards.... Where does this madness stop?
